One good thing about graphic tablets is the fact that you can make a mistake and correct it without having to smudge your paper when erasing, or dirty your hands with a piece of charcoal. This is where a device like the Virtuo concept comes in handy, as it helps novices get a feel of painting on canvas in order to minimize their mistakes when faced with the real thing. Each Virtuo will feature an art pallet, a charger, five various art tools and is powered via electromagnetism to prevent quick battery loss. Seasoned digital artists can also take advantage of the Virtuo concept to create their own masterpieces, but that will only happen once this concept moves into the realm of production.

We guess the Yamaha Tenori-On finally has a rival in the form of Monome. Monome consists of a grid of backlit keypads, and these buttons will light up when pressed to mark where a note will be played. Sounds pretty complicated to us, but we think the musically inclined population will know how to best make use of the Monome in order to compose their next piece which is easy on the ears. The Monome connects to a computer via USB, and the interaction between keys and lights will be determined by the application running on the computer. You can choose from three different models to suit your budget and needs - the 256 button, 128 button and 64 button Monomes will retail for $1,400, $800 and $450, respectively.

Since we'll be attending CES next year, we can't wait to get our hands on Hop-on's purported Android-powered handset then. Other than the operating platform of choice, Hop-on failed to furnish us with additional (and important) details like hardware specifications, although we do know that as long as you have $200 stashed away somewhere, you will be able to pick up this mystery handset when it is available. Judging by Hop-on's track record, I don't think this new handset will be anything spectacular to look at.

Haansoft of Korea has come up with a new 3D user interface that aims to enhance and maximize the user experience of Intel-powered MIDs like never before. Of course, the main focus of this new user interface would be the 3D Cube that spins around, featuring nine user-selected applications on each of its half a dozen sides, and simple mathematics tell you that you will be able to access up to 54 programs with but a simple touch. Will the 3D Cube user interface actually pose a threat to other touch screen devices? Only time will tell, but we have a feeling this will be a rather niche market.
