CEATEC Day-1, 45mn before we get in. Testing T-Mobile’s UMA on the local WIFI network

[CEATEC 2008] We’re 50 minutes away from the CEATEC opening and I’m currently posting via the WIIF connection. Although my phone (Blackberry 8320 Curve / T-Mobile) doesn’t work on Softbank’s network (it supports only 3G phones), I’m pretty saved by the fact that UMA works perfectly on the show’s WIFI connection. My phone happily thinks that I’m in the US and I can call the rest of the Ubergizmo team for free (and get my Blackberry email), thanks to the HotSpot@Home feature. I love UMA.
