Japan Gets Gigabit Fibre Internet Connections

Guess Japan is at the forefront of things again, this time round with its 1Gbps fibre internet connection that will kick off from October 1st onwards. This new service is made available thanks to KDDI, and charges a mere £55 monthly – that’s not too much considering the amount of bandwidth that you get. That price is roughly $20 less than what the 100Mbps service is going for currently, is this a ply to ignite the green eyed monster in all those living outside of Japan? Torrent-heads will definitely be happy with such speeds – I know I would.
