MySpace Streams Over 1 Billion Songs

MySpace might be losing in the fight against Facebook, but that has not stopped it from streaming over 1 billion songs since its MySpace Music service was launched last month. This is a phenomenal achievement, and goes to show just how far reaching a social networking program can be. In comparison, the iTunes Music Store managed five times that amount after five years being in business, but then again that’s like comparing apples and oranges since the latter is a software download instead of being Web-based.
